Digitally composed fold-out book from both digital and film photographs, six 7.5" x 7.5" pages ・ Completed February 2019

This is a fold-out booklet I created, focused on the subject of the color green and its changing presence throughout my life. For this project, I used photographs (mostly taken by me, some taken by my parents before I was born) and combined them with poetry. I decided to write over the photos and erase words throughout – sometimes strategically, sometimes randomly – to transform the written composition so that it would represent my memories, which are hazy, fractured, and incomplete. This project represents the sort of experimental blend between visuals and writing that I continually explore in my work.
