This was a comic I created for a class I was taking at Western Washington University during the beginning of the pandemic (2019-2020 academic year). I chose to create art digitally for this project specifically because I wanted to experiment with effects like halftone. Working in a digital medium allowed me to experiment with colors differently than I do usually when painting or drawing, and it made me think more about pursuing different color schemes in my work. I made the comic about struggling with feeling like I was in a dissociative state, but portrayed this as simply as I could. At this point I was beginning to experiment a lot with simplifying different elements of my artwork in order to communicate my ideas in different ways.
